The questions and generalised results where as follows:
1) Have you ever heard of George Romero?
- The response was split 50/50 as half of the students questioned did not know him to see or recognised his name, however they where all familar with at least two of his productions.
2) Do you like his films?
- Once again the response was devided with some students liking his films while not others and some students not having seen but knowing of his films.
3) Do you like horror films?
- Everyone that responded to this question replied that they did like horror films.
4) If not what type of films do you like?- The majority of students responded as anticipated with Comedy and Actions being the most common choices.
5) Do you think he is an underground filmmaker?
- Everyone who replied to this question agreed that he was more of an underground celebrity and not very mainstream. This is quite a logical response and what I expected.
6) Do you think his Dead films are overly violent?
- Every reply agreed that the Dead series of films where extremely violent.
7) Do you think the Dead films have a negative impact on youth
- Everyone replied no.
Qualative1) 1) What do you think about the Dead film series?
- The students who replied that had seen the Dead films agreed that they where quite violent but good action/horror titles.
- 2) If you have bought any of his movies on dvd/vhs why did you?
- Those who purchased one or more of his movies did so because of the quality of filmmaking, directing and storytelling involved.
3) 3) Would you watch his movies in the future? Yes/no and reason?
- Most of the students replied that they would watch his future productions as they where likely to be sequels to his "Dead" series.
